Olympic Buildings in Beijing

The Olympic Park is a must see when coming to Beijing. I can only imagine how packed this place was during the Olympics in 2008. Now it's open to the public and even has it's own subway line to get to it.

IBM Building in the shape of a torch for the Olympics.

The Bird's Nest, also known as the National Stadium. It cost $423 million!!!! It's pretty cool looking up close.

Ms. Andi

Not sure what this building was.

But it lit up pretty cool at night.

Olympic Torch. Originally, this was placed on top of the Bird's Nest and pumped with fuel to keep it lit during the Olympics. Post Olympics, it was dismantled and now is the center piece for Olympic Torch Square just outside of the Bird's Nest.

The Water Cube also known as the Beijing National Aquatics Center.  It cost $166.4 million!!!!!!!!! It's really hard to get a good clear photo of it because they have those damn lights all over the place. Plus they turn them on at night, ruining the effect of the lights of the cube. Post Olympics, China has turned it into a water park with slides, water rides, spas, etc.

The "bubbles" look really cool up close!
