Six Flags Discovery Kingdom

Monday Andi and I took a trip about 30 minutes up the road from us to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Not only do they have rides and games but they also have an entire zoo like theme.

They had some penguins from Africa that had just woken up and were very active.

This big guy was a sea lion that someone had shot in the face with a shotgun and left for dead. He almost didn't make it but pulled through and is happily living in the park. For $6 you can get 3 fishes to feed them.

If you look just above his nose on the left you can make out the holes that are left over from where he got shot.

One of his friends.

They had a huge fish tank area with different types of sharks and fish. I couldn't get great photo's as the little bastards were moving pretty fast. I like the evil look in the sharks eyes above from my camera.

It was very relaxing to watch them swim. I must get a large fish tank in the future!

 A stingray

 Giraffes!!

Mr. Giraffe can't stop chewing!!

King of the jungle and his women

A beautiful Arctic wolf named Tala. She was so sweet!

Tried to get a good photo of this little monkey but he was going crazy and wouldn't stop moving!!

 Female cheetah

Elephants didn't want to come out and play

 Sleepy tiger.

 Probably my favorite Looney Tune!

All in all a fun time. The park didn't have much in the way of games or interesting rides but the animals made up for it.

Random Photo's From Denver

Couple of extra photo's I had from Denver.

Robot octopus outside of a sushi restaurant.

Found this card at the Buffalo Bill museum. On the back it says:
"Killin' Jim Miller of Pecos, Texas, sometimes known as Deacon Jim for his Sunday preaching, had killed more then 40 men in Texas and Oklahoma before a vigilante mob strung him along with 3 others in an Oklahoma barn. Miller would sometimes wear a bulletproof vest underneath his coat." Very cool!!

Had breakfast at a really good little place called Snooze. Above is hash with chicken sausage, caramelized onions, two over easy eggs, and scallions.

This was amazing: blueberry danish pancake! Super light with lemon curd in the middle, creme anglaise, blueberry syrup, and a almond crunch on top!

Met a Facebook friend in Denver!
Small little sleepy town of Georgetown about an hour outside of Denver. It was an old mining town.

Couple of pictures of a lake next to the town.
