The size of the place is quite breathtaking when you first enter. The soldiers seem to
go on forever!
The top three photos all make a panoramic view. I was going to try and get it all in one shot but there were just to many people to the left and right of me.
The beginning of the site showing the main line of warriors.
Notice the soldiers hands used to hold weapons before they were removed to a museum.
Some soldiers are in battle armor...
...while others are in battle robes. Not really sure how a "battle robe" would stop an
arrow or a spear!
Each solider is different in size, shape, and overall design.
Some sections suffered heavy casualties due to the fire and time.
There are still 6 smaller pits in Pit 1 that haven't been uncovered yet. China lacks the educated man-power to remove the soldiers and as I said before, they just don't have a good way to preserve them. Leaving them in the ground is their only option for now.
The archaeological site of one of the smaller pits. There are only two guys
working the entire pit!
In another section, they are slowly piecing together soldiers from small scraps found throughout the site. Surely a tedious job!!
In my opinion, the coolest thing I have seen in China!!
I can't believe how many of them there are! I wonder how easy they are to break
