Enjoying My Time Off

I haven't posted anything in awhile, mostly because I haven't done much. I'm enjoying my time off: relaxing, spending time with my dog, biking, studying my Chinese, meeting friends, catching up on The Walking Dead, and messing around in the kitchen. It's nice sometimes to decompress and enjoy all the things that you enjoy but never have time for due to just being to damn busy!!

I made Gingerbread Skeletons from a recipe here. They had Bourbon, orange juice, and cracked black pepper in them.

 I attempted to make Kimchee from a packet recipe I found at an Asian market.....

 .....but it didn't turn out so well. :P

 I made some empanadas from scratch.....

 .....which turned out really good!

 I also made my own dill pickles with dill from my garden. These turned out great!! I used this recipe and plan on making more but testing different vinegar's. More to come!
